I am thrilled to be elected as a member of this organization.
Founded in 1872, the Ontario Society of Artists is Canada’s longest continuing art society.
This is a professional association for visual artists living and working across Ontario with a mandate to promote the visual arts through exhibitions, special projects and arts advocacy. Our membership roster includes many of Canada’s best-known painters, sculptors, printmakers and photographers. We currently have an active membership of over two hundred artists, working in a wide range of media and from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
The Ontario Society of Artists has a home and meeting place at the historic Arts and Letters Club of Toronto at St. George’s Hall, located at 14 Elm Street in downtown Toronto. The Hall is a building with a lively history of remarkable colour and vivacity and is designated a building of National Historic Significance by the Government of Canada. This is a permanent space for our OSA meetings and events where individual members have the opportunity to meet, interact and enjoy the companionship of other artist members.
